Skin Color Changed To Dark On Swimming, Did Not Get Original Color On Stopping Swimming. What Can Be Done?

Hello Doctor, I have sent my son (6 Yrs) for swiming in summer vacation, Due to the water in the pool his skin colour has changed from fair to dark. He has stopped swiming for 7 months now,but his skin colour has not come back to normal. I am very much worried about his skin colour, Please guide me what i have to use to bring his colour back.

Hi, it is due to tanning that occurs due to exposure to sun, i would suggest you to use a high spf sunscreen like melagard 50+ lotion during day time and a hydroquinone 4% cream at night for 3 months and he would be fair again. take care
