Shoulder Injury, Painful In Movement And Deep Breaths, Neck Pain And Lower Head. Cause For Worry?

I fell on my shoulder after slipping on the grass playing ultimate Frisbee and now my shoulder hurts when I move my arm and when I breath deeply. My hands were shaking after and I didn't hit my head but I felt a pain in my neck and lower head. Should I go to a local doctor or will I be good to just ice it and wait it out?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
After an injury to the shoulder, the pain in the neck and lower head may be associated with the soft tissue injury associated with the injury. This usually takes 4-6 weeks to heal completely. You can take muscle relaxants to help the symptoms.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
