Should There Necessarily Be A Break Of 7 Days When Taking Gynera?

Hi, I have started taking Gynera for the first time (first time to take contraception in general). I took it on the first day of my menstrual cycle as per told. Now my question is; when the pack of 21 pills are completed do I continue to the next packet or have a break of 7 days even if my period hasn t started?

Hi,
I understood your query.
Gynera is a combined contraceptive. It mimics the normal hormonal pattern of menstruation cycle & leads to normal bleeding without ovulation.
It needs a break of 7 days after you finish one pack.( the pills are to be taken without a break.)- so as to cause withdrawal bleeding. The next pack is to be taken again from day 1.
Sometimes there may not be withdrawal bleeding, in that case, you have to start new pack on 8th day- -- In case there is no bleeding for 2 consequtive months--you have to consult your doctor.
Thanks.
