Should The Severe Bloating Due To IV Fluid Attended Immediately?

my husband had acute pancreatitis & was in the hospital for 16 days. He gained 50 pds. of fluid due to his IV (sodium). Out of hospital for 6 days, His abdomen is still extended, he is unable to eat more than a bite or two of food, & Lasix is not working. He has a drs. apt. in 7 days. Should he see the dr. sooner or can he safely wait? age: 58, 5'10", 248 lbs.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
