Should I Take My Son To The Doctor As He Has Bruising And Scratches Due To Fall?

My 6 year old was sitting at the top of our hardwood stairs and slipped and fell all the way down the stairs on his back. He cried a lot. There is a lot of bruising and some scratches. He said he didn't hit his head and I don't feel bumps. He is moving his arms and legs nothing seems broken. Should we take him to the doctor?

Hello and welcome to HCM,

While there is rare possibility of anything unsightly, I'd advise if your son is not immunized against tetanus in last 5 years, get him a booster to be on safer side.
Usually he might have received a booster of DT when he was 4 if he is being vaccinated under guidelines, but I insist to double check.

Thank you.. feel free to follow up in case of doubt.
