Should I Go To The ER For Chest Pain?

I'm a 53 yr old woman and my chest hurts directly between the breastbone. It started at 1:00pm today and comes and goes. I have medication for anxiety so I took I dose of Lorazapam because it feels like the anxiety I use to get but I don't know what is making me anxious. How do I know if this is serious enough to go to the ER? My name is Kathleen.
Thank you.

Hi,
from history it seems that you might be having Myalgia or costo-chondritis and might be aggravated due to anxiety.
But as you are 53 years of age any cardiac ailment should be ruled out.
Go to ER and get EKG done.
Ok and take care.
