Should I Consult A Podiatrist As I Am Having Pain In My Left Heel?
I have pain in my left heel that started the morning after 2 hours of tennis, I have had one doctor say that it is plantar fascitis but I am not so sure as the bottom of the rest of the foot does not hurt. I am still limited in walking after 10 weeks, should I see a podiatrist for this type of issue? could this be shin splints or another condition?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hello, Thanks for your query. Give your feet a rest. Cut back on activities that make your foot hurt. Try not to walk or run on hard surfaces. To reduce pain and swelling, try putting ice on your heel. Or take an over-the-counter pain reliever like ibuprofen (such as Motrin), naproxen, or aspirin. Do toe stretches , calf stretches and towel stretches several times a day, especially when you first get up in the morning. I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care
