Should I Be Worried About Treatment Of Arrhythmias?

My name is Julie, I am a 49 year old with hcm. I am scheduled for a cauterized ablation in early Sept. due to the frequencies and lengths of my arrhythmias. I am concerned because I was hoping to have the alcohol ablation and affraid they are just treating my symptoms, rather than the hcm?

Hi,

I passed carefully through your question and would explain that the cauterization ablation can help treat the arrhythmogenic focus and thus treat cardiac arrhythmia. Regarding HCM, I would recommend trying to maintain a normal blood pressure in order to prevent further progression.

Hope I have answered your query.
