Should I Be Worried About Ants Attracted To My Sons Urine?

I observed ants testing urine of my son who is now 6 yrs. old. I am a diabetic having fasting sugar in the range of 100-129.I already tested blood sugar test of my son when he was 3 yrs. old. It was normal. We do regular check up of my son with a padetric doctor. What is your advice? Is it at all any indication??

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It is normal for ants to get attracted to urine.
It does not necessarily mean that sugar is the only attractive factor.
Furthermore, it is not a means to determine diabetes mellitus in your child.

I advise to carry a random blood sugar test. If everything is okay, do not worry about the ants.
All the best!

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini
