Hello, I am a 43 year old female.... the problem is every time my husband and I have intercourse I get abdominal pain and all the signs of a yeast infection; I am going to the store today to get something for the yeast infection...what concerns me is the pain in the abdominal area.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query.Abdominal pain should be investigated.Pain while intercourse is characteristic of endometriosis or pelvic inflammatory condition.A thorough pelvic examination and may be an ultrasound scan will be needed to rule out the condition. In case of pelvic inflammatory condition you need antibiotic therapy. In endometriosis hormonal therapy and in some cases surgical treatment will be needed.Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further query.
