Should I Be Concerned About Pain Abdomen And Hydrosalpinx Found Through An Ultrasound?
Hi I had a transvaginal ultrasound done the only thing it showed was a dilated anechoic tubular structure right adnexa which is consistent with a hydrosalpinx of uncertain origin. I had my tubes tied back in 2010 I also had an endometrial ablation done after had my IUD removed. I have always had some pain on my right side but it stopped after the surgery in 2010.It has since started up again. Should I be concerned?
Hydrosalpinx is collection of fluid inside the tube. It happens sometimes after tubal ligation surgery when the part of the tube close to the uterus fills with tubal secretions as they cannot drain out due to tied tubes. This is causing the pain. Removing the hydrosalpinx containing tube will help in relief from pain.
It is not a cause of concern as it is only fluid. But if you want to get pain relief then this must be removed. It can be done using laparoscopy also.
