Should Ecosprin Be Stopped During The Completion Of 8th Month Of Pregnancy?

I am going to complete my 8th month of pregnancy and I am taking Ecosprin 75 due to Restricted blood flows to the fetus. I recently consulted another doctor apart from the one I was visiting regularly, and she told me that Ecosprin should be discontinued at my stage of pregnancy. I am kind of confused here and would like to know what would be the right thing to do - to continue with ecosprin 75 till delivery or stop it. The growth of the child is just adequate/average and I have been asked to increase my protein intake.

Hello and welcome,

We generally recommend stopping ecosprin at least a week before any intervention like labor or cesarean is done as it may cause excessive bleeding. In most cases, this possibility increases after 36 weeks. So it is recommend to stop it at 36 weeks.

If you have completed 36 weeks then you may stop it.

Hope this satisfies your query.
