Should Drinking Be Stopped If GTT Levels Are Raised?

i have raised gtt levels and enlarged red blood cells. I was diagnosed with pernicious anaemia 19 years ago and have b12 injections. I had my gall bladder removed 14 years ago. i have drank a lot in the last year. Should i stop drinking completely or is it enough to cut down?

Hi welcome to health care magic....

Alcohol is injurious to many organs when taken excessively.....
Alcohol and its metabolites Acetaldehyde are injurious to liver hepatocytes....
Liver bile canaliculi also get affected ....
So here elevated GGT level...

So it is better to stop alcohol drinking ...
If you want to take then don't cross over safe limit...
20 gm per day is safe limit.
Fatty food less.
Fruits more....
Junk foods , no veg taken less....

Hope your concern solved...

Take care....
