Should Any Tests Be Done For Anaemia, Lack Of Folic Acid With Dry Cough?
My husband has got a dry cough and hair loss he was dignosed as having anemia a month a go now they say he is lacking folic acid...new year day he had leg pains this got better but still has a dry cough hair loss has stopped please could you inform me what you think it might be awaiting further tests but i am worried...he did have a ps test which was normal no other sytems
Decreased folic acid is a cause of one type of anemia and can definitely contribute the hair loss.
The most common reason for persistent coughing is post nasal drip. There are some persons who are not aware of the drip itself. This is treated with a mixture of decongestants and antihistamines which are available over the counter.
Other causes of persistent cough are reflux and asthma. If he has a history of reflux then this should be treated.
I hope this helps
