Hello,
It is very common to see that oral antidiabetic drugs tend to loose their efficacy after 8-10 years of diagnosis of diabetes. This happens because beta cells of pancreas, which are responsible for production of insulin, gradually get destroyed. Most of the oral anti diabetic drugs have their action on beta cells by stimulating them.Once the beta cells mass get reduced with time, these drugs are rendered in effective.
Your blood sugar levels are very high and it would be proper if you take injection insulin for the management now.
Consult your doctor and discuss with him regarding the further treatment, because present drugs being taken by you won't help now.
Thanks
