Should I Take Half Dose Of Blood Pressure Pills If It Has Been Missed ?

I cant remember if I took my blood pressure pills this morning
I am 55 Yo and take Valsartan once in the AM and
Hydralazine twice a day, morn/night
Still trying to get the pressure regulated with my doctor. Use to take Lisinopril
but reached max dose so these two are reatively new, 2 weeks.
Pressure has been running 156/94 Avg I would say while on the these pills.
Sometimes a little lower... mid to high140s over mid to high 80s
SHould I just take a half dose of each maybe?

Hi ,
Anti hypertension medication are given by general physicians after titrating the dose and combination according to blood pressure , age , co-morbidity etc. If hypertension persists then drug dose can be increased or combination changed or added to the regimn so that blood pressure can brought back to normal range .
You should not take the additional dosage of medication by your own as side effect may increase /complication and may cause lethal action . So visit your doctor again with blood pressure charting so that medication can be prescribed accordingly .

Hope this ll help

Thanks n regards
