Should I Stop Pioglitazone -15 And Switch To Metformin 500mg?

Hello, I am 53 years old and have been taking this medicine since almost 8 years. I take all effortts to keep my blood reports to get good results. I did not notice any of diabetic symptoms since now and then. Do I Stop taking this medicine pioglitazone -15 and switch to metformin 500mg. please let me know. thank you so much manasi
