Should I See A Doctor For Fever Post Surgery?

I was released from hospital this morning after surgey last Friday for a perineal abscess. All went week. Had lots of if antibiotics. BP was quite low and the highest temp yesterday was just over 37. I am now home, with a bit more pain than I had in hospital (but only taking paracetamol ) was taking endone as well in hospital. This afternoon have felt worse, temp a little while ago was 38.2 but have taken Panadol, 5mg endone and am lying down. Should I just rest and see how my temp goes? I am now on oral ABs.

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Yes, you can consider monitoring your symptoms for now. If the temperature does not go down within the next 24 hours or it increases then you may want to consider contacting your doctor.

In addition to the antibiotics and pain medication , you may want to try sitz baths. It would help with the pain that you are experiencing.

I hope this helps
