Should I Opt For CAT Scan As There Is A Crackling Sound In The Lung After Having Bronchitis?
I have had a cough since May, first the dr said it was bronchitis. I have had chest exrays. Now the respiratory dr wants me to have a cat scan as he hears crackling in the lower left side of my lungs. The cough is pretty much gone but breathing feels heavy. What now?
Hi! I read carefully your query. I think that best think to decided diagnosis is correlated clinical records with radiologic records and if if x ray chest is not capable you should do CTA that does it mean chest CT with contrast to appreciate not only pulmonary parenkima and pleura but and heart great veasles also any other problem. If every think is excluded you should consult with cardiologist to rule out any cardiac problem.
Wishing you all best and fast recovery.
