Hello! Hyperthyroid crisis (Thyroid Storm) is a very serious problem. Thyroid crisis affects all organs in the body, especially the heart. He could have a cardiac arrest if his heart rate goes very fast. Surgery will not be done anytime soon since his hormones needs to be stabilized first through high doses of anti thyroid hormones. I really suggest he seeks consult to prevent serious or even fatal complications.
