Hello, Thanks for consulting HCM. In my opinion, Your blood pressure is on the lower side. You should not think that you are put on blood pressure medication after an heart attack to control your blood pressure. They are put only when you have high blood pressure irrespective of someone has heart attack or not. The reason some blood pressure medication are prescribed in lower doses is to help the heart muscles to rearange and work properly, as some of the muscles are lost and are replaced by scar, which does not have pumping capacity. Some are prescribed to keep your heart rate on the lower side so that there are less chances of getting stress on your heart, and prevents one from getting another heart attack. But if by taking this you feel dizzy and nauseated, this may require titrating the doses and may be required to reduce the doses if the reason is not otherwise.
