Should I Be Concerned About Itchy And Large Bruise Inside Thighs?
For the past two weeks, after a cold, The inside of my thighs have been getting very itchy and then develop very large bruises. They then go away and then others appear. I also have small ones appearing on my upper arms. Should I be concerned and consult a doctor?
After reading your query it appears that yo are either suffering form Urticaria or purpura (bruise) problem.
In urticaria the rash remains for few hours to up to 24 hours. In deeply red cases it emerge as bruise like appearance.
IN bruises - these remain for long period of time for multiple days and have color change in these lesions.
You just check whether it is purpura or urticaria. In my patients with urticaria I prefer to give antihistamine such as loratadine for 1-2 times daily.
If these are increasing in number and size then can take suggestion from a dermatologist and get proper suggestions accordingly.
All the best.
