Should I Be Concerned About IV Bruise?

I had to get an endoscopy a week ago, and due to several failed IV insertion attempts, I have a few bruises. At one such site on the back of my hand, there is a large bruise covering almost the whole back. It is very light, except for a large deep red area, that encompasses about 40% of the bruise. This concerned me due to the fact that the bruise came from an IV and not blunt trauma, so I was wondering if it indicates any further problem.
