Shifted To Morphine Sulphate From Oxycondone, Feel Strange, Woozy, Pain Cervical Vertebrae. Is Codeine Ok ?
I was on 10mg oxycondone- they changed the supplier and the new one had a bad effect I was then put on 40 morphine sulphate and it is turning me into a zombie. I stopped the 30 and just took 10 still feel strange and woozy.it is for a debilitating pain in my cervical vertebrae which have worn out and grown spurs that dig into tissue -that is what the nuerologist said. could I just take codeine ?
hi thank you for the query I have gone through your query and understood your concern...codeine oxycodone and morphine are standard opioid analgesics used in severe debilitated pain act directly on CNS so...I would advise you to take those drugs under supervision of your Neurologist ...and see your doctor again and discuss ..there are neuro protective drugs which could relieve you from your pain ...physiotherapy plays a major role in cervical vertebral pathologies.. so I would like to suggest you to go for physiotherapy as scheduled.. hope I have answered your query wish you good health thank you regards DR Alekhya
