Sharp Pain In Right Side Of Stomach, Vomiting. Had Gall Bladder And Stones Removed Months Back. Suggestions?

hi. I had my gallbladder &gallstones removed 14 months ago. yesterday, I got a sudden sharp pain on the righ hand side of my stomach. after about 10 minutes I started to vomit badly. in total I vomited 6 times in 30 minutes. the pain continued for 2 hours and then gradually eased. today my side is tender. please could you tell me what this might be.

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

Sudden sharp pain with vomiting may be due to acute gastritis, acute GE or obstruction. Since you have right side abdomen pain the chance of duodenal ulcer is more. I hope there is no blood or green fluid in your vomitus and not suffering from fever. If your bowel movements are normal. take tab pantoprazole with metoclopramide and tab. dicyclomine. Since you got your gall bladder removed and if symptoms persists take your doctors opinion once.
