Severe Weight Loss After Childbirth. How Can I Gain Weight?

Hello Dr, I'm 33 year old and delivered a baby about a year back, I was already very slim coz of stress but after delivering baby I had managed to gain some weight but now again because of mental and physical strain I have completely lost weight and I weigh about 43kilos now and I don't feel hungry at all. What should I do to gain weight and even eat well?

Everybody gains weight during pregnancy and mostly you come back to your routine self after an year of pregnancy. So there is nothing to panic about. If you are not feeling hungry try getting a thyroid assay and liver profile done. Try eating regular meals instead of regular junk food and eat food rich in protein and fat. If you are not a vegan, then animal food will be a good choice. eggs also help in increasing your weight.
Try practicing yoga and meditation if you are feeling stressed. Also contact your psychiatrist you can help you with a few sessions of cognitive behavioral therapy to reduce your stressful thoughts.
