Severe Pain In Neck And Forelimbs. Heard Crunching Sound In Neck After Lifting Weights. Is This Serious?

I have been experiencing sharp pains in my left elbow and shoulder. Lately it goes down my forearm to my little finger and ring finger both of which fall asleep constantly. Tonight while working out I was dead lifting about 300 pounds when I heard a crunching sound followed by immediate sharp pain in my upper back and neck area. I can barely move my head to either side . I can move it a little backwards but almost not at all forward without extreme pain ......im working out in the oil fields not many doctors around, should I make a trip to see one

hello there!
Thank you for asking. When one tries to be Van dam by lifting things as heavy as 300 pounds , these complications happen., Immobility of the neck movements with a lot of stiffness and pain needs a workup. Radiology and a GP examination to see whats going on, Numbness and tingling explain some nerve entrapment. see the Gp or neurologist to assess better.

Good Luck
