Severe Pain In Groin Area, Unable To Walk Without Support. History Of Car Accident. MRI Of Spine Normal. Any Ideas?

3 weeks ago I was in a car accident.. Immediatley after the accident when I tried to walk I had severe pain in the groin area and I have not been able to take even ONE step on my own since. I have had to use some type of support to walk along with incredible pain. I had xrays at the ER and MRI of the
spine. The ER xrays said there might be a possible fracture of the lower spine. I was sent to an Ortho and he sent me for the MRI. He found nothing. How can it be nothing when I cannot walk on my own and I am experiencing incredible pain. I can not take even one step on my own. However i can walk as long as I have some support to help me.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,
Welcome at HCM.

I have read details of your question.

If your spine is normal & you are unable to walk then there can be pathology at hip.You should have MRI SCAN of hip for that. There can be soft tissue injury or muscle injury which may also be reason for that.

You should take a second opinion for this from other orthopedic doctor.

I shall advice you to take rest .

Take a good analgesic like advil for relief.

Hope this will help you.

With best wishes.
