Severe Pain In Abdomen, Nausea, Loss Of Appetite, Lightheaded, Noise From Stomach. Reason?

I have sharp severe pains all over my abdomen. I feel really nauseous but haven't been sick. I do not have diarrhoea or constipation. I am eating regular meals even though I have a loss of appetite. I have lost weight. I feel light headed with constant gurgling noises coming from my abdomen. The pain has been very severe for six days now. What could this be?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
If I were your treating doctor for this case of severe pain in abdomen , I would come up with these possibilities , these includes.
1 The first possibility may be kidney stone as so severe pain in the stomach is mostly due to urinary tract system stone. Diagnosis can be confirmed by ultrasound of urinary tract system.
2 Next reason of such pain may be peptic ulcer disease or Hiatus hernia. Diagnosis can be confirmed by upper G I endoscopy. To help control abdominal pain one should not drink alcohol or drinks with caffeine in them or eat chocolate or greasy or spicy foods.
3 As you mentioned that there is loss of appetite so may be an involvement of liver . Diagnosis can be confirmed by ultrasound of liver.
In my opinion consult a physician and get his opinion.
Good luck. Dr. HET
