Severe Neck Herniation, Head, Stomach Injuries After Accident. Heart Rhythm Problem, Chest Pains, Chronic Gastritis. Cure?

Hi,

I was in 2 major car accidents in 2009, 2010 I have a severe neck herination and I hit my head and had stomach injuries. Since that time I have had chronic pins and needles in my eyes, throat, and stomach; severe stomach pain, reduced bowl movements, a constant dry cough, heart rhythm problems and chest pains. In Canada, I have gone to emergency a few times and I don't have a family doctor. No one will send me for full tests. I was in emerg for my heart twice in which they could see problems but did not conclude anything. I recently found out I have chronic gastritis and a very slow stomach to digest. I vomit often and I'm always nausiated. I'm in a lot of pain. Meds for gastritis didn't work. I can't go on meds for stomach because they have to find out about my heart but I have been 2 years to see a doctor. I was a professional outdoor adventure sports guide but I can't work and no one will help me. I can't afford to go to the states for family. I don't have friends or family who can help. Is there any place in Canada I can get help? Thanks for your time.

Hi,

I have read your concerns, and I am sorry for the situation you are in. Indeed, you need a further medical evaluation from your family doctor in order to decide whom specialists you need to further consult.

So, the very first thing I'd suggest is to decide who should be your family doctor. We can help you virtually as long as the limited medical data you are offering.

However, you need a profound physical examination, a neurologist consultation to understand the severity of neck herniation.

Furthermore, you need a complete blood profile test, together with cardiologist consult and ECG and heart ultrasound to determine whether you have heart problems and treat them correctly.

With regards to chronic gastritis, I'd recommend:

- eat small portions and often and very slowly

- avoid caffeine, citrus, carbonated, fatty, spicy and fried foods

- get some little physical activity although limited.

Hope it helped!
