Severe Muscle Aches, Anxiety And Frequent UTIs After Stopping Premarin. Do I Have Hormonal Imbalance?

I am a 51 year old female, who had a parcial hysterectomy at the age of 38. I still have my ovaries. Back in April of 2009, when I visited my gynecologist, he recommended taking premarin based on some complaints I had. I took it reluctantly, and I felt wonderful! But I got worried about the possible side effects, and went off it a few months later. I have felt horrible ever since I went off of it. I have severe muscle aches and pains, severe anxiety, mood problems, frequent UTIs...It didnt dawn on me until now that I started feeling terrible around the time I went off the premarin. Does it sound like I have a hormone imbalance? My thyroid tested fine? Im considering asking dr for maybe a vaginal cream, but not sure its what I need?

The symptoms that you have are likely to be related to menopause. A hormonal imbalance needs to be corrected with the help of hormone replacement therapy or phyto estrogens. Do consult your gynecologist regarding the same.
