Severe Diarrhea Followed By Hard Lump On Anus. History Of Removal Of Polyps, One Being Adenoma. Possible Another Adenoma?

ihad a colonoscopy 4 years ago had a few poyps removed, the dr said one was an adenoma, but didnt seem too concerned. Two weeks ago i ate cabbage which gave e severe diarreah , i battle with that alot, but after a sudden bout of diarreah, i noticed a hard lump on my anus that wont seem to go away. should i be concerned that it is another adenoma, it came on so sudenly.

Hi and thanks for the query,
Its important to know what the hard lump is all about. the commonest should be a hemorroid. However, other rare causes like cold abscesses and warts should not be underrated. Other symptoms like pain, blood in stool and fever are important to note.
A clinical review associated with an endoscopic evaluation called a recto sigmoidoscopy could be very useful in orienting diagnoses, further evaluative tests and management. I suggest you consult your gastroenterologist around. Kind regards,
Bain LE, MD.
