Scab near vagina. Increasing in number

My daughter has a scab on the back of her inner thigh, close to her vagina . It is in the shape of a circle & it us about the size of a dime. I noticed it last weekend & tonight I noticed a few more on her butt. At first I thought it might be a burn , but that didn t make sense. My second thought was that it was a bug bite , but it s not going away. The spot hasn t gotten worse, but it hasn t gotten better either. It s been about 9 days since I first noticed it & now there are more of these spots.

Hello and welcome,

It looks like your daughter has most likely a tinea infection [ ring worm]. This is caused by a fungus.
Other reasons may be a bug bite.

Please see a skin specialist. If it is tines, anti ringworm creams like miconazole or clotrimazole to be applied to the spots help in cure. In addition the clothes must be washed in hot water and sun dried if possible to prevent reinfection.
Do not worry, these are common infections.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Thanks for using HCM.
