Rising BP After Taking Phentermine For Weight Loss. Elevated Diastolic BP After Stopping Medicine. Time For Meds To Clear The System?
I have no history of Hypertension, with normal BP around 110/60's. I started taking phentermine 3 weeks ago to help with weight loss and noticed BP s starting to rise. I stopped the med due to this side effect. After 2 days with no medication my Diastolic BP is still elevated in the high 90's. How long should it take for the meds to clear my system and my BP to return to normal?
Phentermine's half life period is usually 24 hours. It is excreted in urine. Also exclude other possible causes of raised BP.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have have any clarifications.
