Hi I have labyrinthitis for two weeks. the really bad dizziness has gone but I still feel like i am floating and slighty of ballance, I also have ringing and hissing in my ears. please can you tell me how long will this continue? the other situation I have, is in 3 weeks I have a 3 hour flight to turkey were i will be meeting family and friends. this is something that has been booked fro a long time and i really dont want to miss it please could you give me some advise. I am a 62 year old male in good health, except for the above Regards
Hello David, Are you on proper treatment for labryinthitis. if yes then --- You can start off with some vestibular rehabilitation exercises-- 1.put your thumb in front of eyes and move the thumb and keep your eyes fixed on the thumb right and left. 2.turn slowly your neck to see on to your right and then to left 3.slowly move neck to look up and look down. You must also consult your ENT specialist before going so that he can change the medication accordingly as without seeing the prescription you are on i can not comment. Get well soon.
