Respiratory Ailments. Had Bleeding. Taken Steroids. Done US And Pap Smear. What Is Wrong?
i started bleeding again after taking steroids for my respiratory ailments in december i began bleeding and dr tested by doing ca 125 test ultrasound pap smear and biopsy all came back negative but said my uterine ling is thick what does all this mean?
i am a 58 year old woman who stopped my menstrual cycles at age 52....thank you
Bleeding in a menopausal woman is always a concerning. It can originate from the vaginal, cervix or uterus. Given that Ca125, vaginal exam, pap smear and biopsy are all negative, the uterus remains to be investigated. Having a thickened uterine lining is not typical in post menopausal women. I suggest that you get a uterine biopsy for analysis. This will clear any doubts about uterine pathologies including cancers.
