Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
As you have minor thalassemia, your blood report also in favor of hemolytic anaemia.
In hemolytic anemia, serum bilirubin is generally below 5 mg% with mildly raise (
In thalassemia, patient has low MCV with low MCH due to persistent hemolysis.
You should consult with internal medicine specialist/ hematologist and should take proper treatment.
Antioxidants may help by inhibiting hemolysis.
Hope that helps.
Take care,
Dr. Mayank Bhargava
