Hello

Welcome to HCM

Reviewed your history. Renal transplant patient with upper respiratory tract infection. Your physician has adviced you to take antibiotic Taxim. I have one question did u doctor say injection Taxim or Tablet Taxim? Although both are related group of antibiotics (cephalosporins), injection Taxim is Cefotaxime whereas tablet Taxim is Cefixime which is same as Taxim - o. So if your physician has advised to take tablet Taxim then need not worry as you had taken the same medication i.e., cefixime. Even if he had prescribed injection there should not be much worry as cefotaxime (inj Taxim) and cefixime ( tab taxim/ taxim -o) have similar actions and profile.

Anyhow please consult your treating physician/ nephrologist in person to get clarification, as phone consultation can lead to errors.

I hope the info is helpful

Wish u good health
