Red Spot On The Knee Post Knee Replacement Surgery

I had a total knee replacement surgery about a year ago and I have this red spot on my knee that just keeps getting bigger I have asked the knee surgeon and my regular dr to look at it and neither one of them recomended treatment . They both said it should fade with time. But now it is spreading, it started out as bruising then turned red know it is getting bigger and spreading around to the back of my leg. I also had laproscopic knee surgery on my left leg in december and starting getting red spots on my left leg after surgery. Do you think I need to consult with a skin dr. or is it anything to be concerned about?
