Is Partial Lateral Knee Replacement A Safe Procedure?

I am inquiring about partial lateral knee replacement if this is now a common procedure and as successful as the lateral knee replacement. I have an intact ACL replacement but with some slight looseness. Would this condition possibly still be a candidate for a partial knee replacement.
