Rectosigmoid Tumor Removed 8 Weeks Ago. Histopathology Report Got. What Does Findings Suggest?

Hi my brother is 46 and had a rectosigmoid tumour removed about 8 weeks ago. His Histopatholgy report states the Tumour as T4N2Mx. The report says moderately differentiated, extending into pericolic fat with serosal involvement, Tumour margin is infiltrative, Lymphocytic infiltration is negative, extramural venous invasion is positive, lymphatic space invasion is positive, perineural invasion is positive, lymph nodes: 4/11, local extranodal metastases = multiple, resection margin is negative.
He is starting oral chemo on Monday.
What sort of outlook does this report suggest? Thanks so much

Hi!
welcome to our HCM!
Tumour of your brother has been classified as T4N2Mx this means T4-Tumour has invaded adjacent organs and visceral peritoneum.N2 metasis in 4 regional lymph node as 4 out of 11 regional nodes have been invaded by tumour.Mx means distant metastasis can not be assessed..in rectosigmoid tumour prognosis mostly depends on depth of tumour invasion and lymph node invovement.Report suggests a serious outlook.Take care!
