Recommend Diet Foods For Extrapulmonary TB Patients
My mother is suffering from extrapulmonary T.B. and in the MANTOUX test(10 TU) ,the result was 14mm in 48 hrs. She is also feeling down in energy and feeling faintness. She has pain in legs also and high blood pressure. She has cervical swelling.
My question is what steps apart from regular treatment should she folllow and what diet would be good for him being a housewife.
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Tuberculosis patients need diet and supplements to boost their immunity so that faster recovery can be achieved. So give her high protein diet like pulses, eggs, non vegetarian foods (if she is eating). Also give her protein powder with milk. Start multivitamin and anti oxidants tablet. Avoid oily and spicy food. Avoid junk food. Don't worry, she will be alright.. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your mother. Thanks.
