Reason For Swelling And Pain In The Tonsils?

I recently moved back to austin Texas from Florida. 4 weeks ago I got really ill from what I assume was a sinus infection. (Congestion, low fever, stuffy nose, runny nose, ear ache, extremely swollen tonsils, pain when swallowing, etc). After 2 weeks I finally felt better for a week and the swollen, painful tonsils are back.

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

You may have upper respiratory tract infection with recurrent tonsillitis. You should take a course of antibiotic. Drugs like azithromycin or amoxyclav are useful in tonsil infection. But it is prescription based medicine so consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer.
