General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi Subhash.
The cause of swelling and pain in one testis after hernia surgery is due to blockage to the venous drainage during the surgical procedure or due to edema at the inguinal ring later.
If the swelling is small and the pain mild . nothing needs to be done as the collateral circulation develops and new channels of vend open up.
No need to panic.
If the swelling is too much or the pain increases you may need a re-exploration to loosen around the cord.
I find this answer helpful
