my daughter was out "yard saling" with my friend this morning and came home with a rash on her face and neck. I applied aloe but the rash has now spread to areas that were not exposed to the sun. She has not eaten anything new, been in any weeds there are no bite marks on her and I havent changed detergents. Could this be sun poisoning even though it has spread to areas that werent exposed to the sun?
Hello, Welcome to healthcare magic It could still be sunburn as the predominant areas involved are face and neck. It depends on the fabric she was wearing. Some thin materials can still transmit a lot of sunlight. Other possibilities to consider are air borne contact allergy to some dust particles, Solar urticaria etc. It is better to start a topical steroid cream twice a day. Fluticasone propionate or mometasone furoate cream are good for sun burns. Kindly get it prescribed by your primary care physician. Hope this helped Take care
