Rapid Heart Rate, Dizzy Spells, Headache, Low BP. Normal ECG. Taking Iron Tonic

hello my daughter is 21 and is suffering with very rapid heart rate both during the day and evening and now has a headache and is tired all the time. She has also had dizzy spells. She has a very busy degree course in London and is always on the go. Very stressful. She works extremely hard and never has a break. I believe she also has quite low blood pressure as per the last reading. I have told her to take a tonic with iron for the time being and she has had an ECG which looks normal.

Hi there,
It seems like your daughter is suffering from anxiety and stress. An increased heart rate without other symptoms are very common in anxiety.
If i was her doctor, I would like a history. I would like to know if any of the following have increased over time like sweating, weight loss, tremors and appetite. If these signs and symptoms are present I would like to have her thyroid profile done.
Tachychardia or increased heart rate is also very common in hyperthyroidism.
So just to be sure I would like a thyroid profile.
Iron is good for her as she might be suffering from a decreased Hb in blood. Which is very common in girls her age. She should also take multivitamins.
to be sure i would like a complete blood picture.
I hope this answers your question
regards
