Racing And Pounding Heartbeat With Stress And Depression. Need To Be Concerned?

I am 19 years old and everytime I try to do anything, my heart to start racing and pounding and the area around it gets really right and I'm exhausted from nothing right now.
I don't smoke, I haven't been drinking, but I've been extremely stressed, depressed, and generally down the past month but my heart has just started doing this today but I don't know if I should get it checked out or not.

Dear User!

Welcome to HCM!

This is Dr.Suleman resident in cardiology

Your symptoms suggest that you are having Anxiety Disorder. At this age there is no heart disease which can show such symptoms. I suggest you to see a psychiatrist. If I were your doctor I would have give you following medications

1) Inderal (Propanolol) 10 mg Three time a day.(for anxiety)
2) Escitalopram One tablet in the morning. (for depression)

These two drugs works best in patient with mixed anxiety depression disorders.
