Prolonged Sore Throat, Lump Near Tonsils. Prescribed Antibiotics, Got Temporary Relief. Underwent Root Canal Treatment. Eagle Syndrome?
i have a question regarding my sore throat it has been 3 yea sincer i am feeling some sensation in right side of my throat corner near tonsil . there is a frequent mucus formation only from that side. when i try to stretch my musculus of that corner side i can see a lump or somthing i dont know what it actually is. its small almost half of a c.m. i can feel a frequent slight swelling one side on right cheek too. All this start 3 year ago after i had a ROOT CANAL TREATMENT of my right molar tooth. RTC was successfull but after one month of that i felt something in my right side throat at the corner just below the tonsil. I went to an ENT specialist he gave me some antibiotics and pain killer fir 15 day. bt it was not completely gone . since i scared and i didn t went to any doc till now. But now i get rid of this. I heard about EAGLE SYNDROME. IS it may be this.

this could be because of the nerve irritation post tooth removal.Yes it could be that.
You should take multivitamins and antireflux medicines.Reflux of stomach contents in throat is one of the major cause of the chronic throat irritation .Avoid smoking and alcohol . Take small frquent meals and avoid binge eating.
Eagle syndrome is itself very rare . but you have had a procedure so it can be a cause. but chances are less.
Avoid reflux for 10 days and see for the result.
