Prognosis For Throat Inflammation Due To Lymph Node TB?
My friends son has been diagnosed with lymph node TB , I have been teaching for a year now ...home tutoring . Is it contagious ? Should I be worried ? He has started treatment last week , 4 types of antibiotics and a month long course of Pednisolone .. He has severe inflammation in his throat , barely any voice . What is the prognosis ?
good prognosis as there is standard treatment of medicines and these are minimum medicines and course can be minumum 6 months to 9 months as the treatment is continues the disease become clear mycobacteria of tb are killed and patient had good prognosis 100% as the tb is in node there are less chances of being contageous as chances are more in open tb where the bacteria fall out through mucus and cough
