Prescribed Dubagest During Pregnancy. Suggested Cerclage. Safe?
hi doctor...i m 29 yr old with my second pregnacy ....i had a preterm pregnancy of 36 week on 2012...currently i m 20 week pregnannt with cervical length of 3.2 cm ......my doc has prescribed me dubagest and suggested me cerclage as per the risk involved.....my question is it safe to use dubagest and to get the stich done ....right now i am on complete bed rest

yes it is safe to use dubagest and can be used until 36 weeks of pregnancy.but I am not sure regarding encirclage because your cervical length seems ok and don't seem to have any symptoms like pain abdomen .the reason for ur previous preterm labor at 36 weeks could be UTI or any other infection.taking adequate rest,and dubagest would be sufficient and if there are any urinary tract or vaginal infections should be recognised and treated early
